We were founded 103 years ago with the discovery of "umami".
The original aspiration of the founder consisting of a "frontier spirit"
and the "creation of new value" remains to this day.

The Kawasaki factory, which is the mother factory, will
celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2014. We are developing
factories now in 17 countries and areas around the world.
We dispatch safe and reliable products to customers
throughout the world.

AJI-NO-MOTO® will be exported to Taiwan in 1910 which are
the next year of the company's founding. The New York office
was established in 1917. The countries and areas selling
Ajinomoto Group products now exceed 130.

We offer seasoning, processed food, beverages, pharmaceutical
products, amino acids, chemicals and various products to the world.
Our sales exceed 1 trillion yen, and the sales composition ratio
of Japan and others is approximately 7:3.

The R&D workers of the Ajinomoto Group, which started with
approximately 100 people in 1956, has increased approximately
1000 members with growth of the business.
Ajinomoto is said to be an unrivaled food company driven by
technology.
