SHICHI GO SAN (7-5-3)

During the period when a child is growing up, the ages of seven, five and three years are celebrated. On November 15, generally boys who are five years old and girls who are three and seven years old visit shrines to give thanks for their health and to pray for such good fortune to continue in the future. Chitose Ame
During the celebration of Shichi Go San (7-5-3), Chitose Ame is a red and white candy on a long stick given to children as an expression of wishes for a long life. The candy is said to have first been sold as "one-thousand-year candy" in the Asakusa district in the early Edo Period.
