The Chuo Ward Volunteer Center and 17 companies from the ward, promote corporate citizenship activities with the aim of "Moving hand-in-hand with the local community."

Employees from Oizumi branch performed environmental cleaning activities around the building and Oizumi town South Park (about 1200m).

"Ashita-no-kai", the group engaged in philanthropy activities for volunteers from the Tokyo branch is holding regular communication programs with children of the social welfare corporation St. Francisco children's dormitory.

At the office, we organized a campaign collecting used stamps and prepaid cards and donated them to JOICFP(Japanese Organization for International Cooperation in Family Planning).

We began a trial volunteer activity "Sending albums to the children in Laos." After completing the translation, we sent the albums to the NGO children's office in Laos.

On the first Wednesday in September, Ajinomoto Co., Inc. and Ajinomoto Oil Mills Co.,Inc. cooperated in "National & International Meals on Wheels Day" and offered products such as seasoning, processed food, lard and cooking oil to the authorized NPO which delivers the meals to seniors.

Since 2002, AJINOMOTO Co., Inc. recognized the importance of assistance in education and has been hosting the program to advance international understanding, "Discover the World through Food" by introducing culinary culture from around the world in partnership with the International Education Information Center (NPO). About 6000 people a year take part in this program.

Inviting the Visual and Hearing Disabilities Association staff and a registered sign language interpreter of Chuo Ward as an instructor, we studied sign language that can be used routinely at the Ajinomoto Headquarters.

The employees planned and performed the Bon Dance inviting people from the community.

Invited researchers, practitioners and journalists in various specialized fields to an open public symposium targeting education and nutrition. These people reported their findings at the academic symposium, "Dietary Culture Forum" to those influential members in the field of nutrition (university instructors, junior college instructors, nutritionists and journalists).
