SPRING SUMMER AUTUMN WINTER HOME
MOMIJIGARI
Momijigari translates as the Japanese traditional pastime of viewing the changing colors of the autumn foliage. During this time of year, the leaves of maple and ginkgo and other deciduous trees turn from green to breathtaking shades of red and yellow. Many Japanese travel long distances to experience the beautiful scenery provided by the changing seasons. Kyoto is particularly famous for its brilliant autumn foliage, thus attracting a multitude of visitors who come in anticipation of viewing the area's many temples when their environs are aflame with the changing colors.
