Ajinomoto Group Peruvian affiliate donates food to 25,000 affected by COVID-19

AJINOMOTO DEL PERU S.A. took another step in its campaign to help vulnerable populations affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Peru, donating more than 39,000 packages of instant noodles through the Peru Food Bank.

Valued at over PEN 35,000 (approximately USD 10,000), the donation helps meet the immediate needs of disadvantaged families who lack access to essential services such as electricity and water, and are therefore more exposed to hardship during the pandemic. The food was distributed throughout the country with the help of local charitable organizations.

“In keeping with our commitment to help people ‘Eat Well, Live Well’, the Ajinomoto Group recognizes an obligation to contribute to good nutrition and the well-being of society, especially during this pandemic. We’re making positive contributions not only in Peru, but also in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, Brazil, USA, and around the world,” said Public Relations Manager Ely Su Palacios.

A leader in the food and seasonings sector, Ajinomoto del Perú continues to find ways to help in the fight against COVID-19 and demonstrate solidarity with the communities it serves.
