Ajinomoto Co., Inc. has established a roundtable dialogue to deliberate on the ways in which we coexist with animals.

Feb 13th 2020

Our Group Mission is “to contribute to the world’s food and wellness, and to better lives for the future,” and we come into contact with animals in the course of our business activities and the development of products. It is for this reason that we formulated the Group Shared Policy on Better Mutual Relationship with Animals and have worked to engage in business and develop products in line with that policy.

Recognizing changing trends both in Japan and overseas and in order to consider ways in which the Ajinomoto Group can “coexist even more harmoniously with animals” in a format that responds better to the times we live in and the expectations of society, a roundtable comprised of external experts has been established and is advancing a process of dialogue with society.

The first roundtable dialogue was held on February 5, 2020, in which the members discussed the latest developments in animal welfare and the current status of the Ajinomoto Group.
