“Energy saving” and “CO2 emission reduction” by developing novel magnetic materials

Ajinomoto Fine-Techno Co., Inc. (AFT)’s “new magnetic materials” contribute to energy conservation in semiconductors used in servers and 5G base stations. A magnetic material is a material that has magnetic properties. Liquid magnetic materials are rare, so AFT began its research from scratch.

Meeting demand of new modality “siRNA”: the establishment of “AJIPHASE®” and oligonucleotides production technology for the pharmaceutical companies and patients.

Winners developed a new competitive manufacturing method toward the oligonucleotide now modality siRNA by combining Ajinomoto Co., Inc.’s original enzyme technology with “AJIPHASE®” synthesis technology. The technology realized costs commensurate with its high quality and economics and paved the way for it to manufacture and supply drugs for the treatment of intractable diseases.
