Cooked Rice with Vegetables
Adding AJI-NO-MOTO®, the umami flavor enhancer seasoning makes this dish more flavorful even though this recipe does not require any meat ingredients!
- 2 pounds (1kg) rice
- 2 onion
- 2 carrot
- 10 ounces (300g) green pea
- 2 tbsps AJI-NO-MOTO® (MSG)
- 2 tbsps AJI-SHIO® Flavoured Black Pepper
- 2 tbsps salt
- 3 ounces (90g) ghee
- 7 cups water
- Pine nut and almond for garnish
Wash rice and finely chop onion and carrot.
Fry onion, carrot, green pea with ghee.
Add Water and bring to a simmer, and add rice.
Season with AJI-SHIO® Flavoured Black Pepper, AJI-NO-MOTO® and salt.
Cook in low heat for 25 minutes.
Soak almond in a bowl of warm water for 10 minutes.
Drain and remove skin.
Fry almond and pine nut with ghee separately.
Add ghee to cooked rice and stir.
Serve with a garnish of roasted almond and pine nut.
