Broccoli Pasta with Umami

Try this simple, easy and tasty pasta recipe. Using MSG/umami seasoning make the pasta rich in umami and low salt.


  • 1/2 bunch (250g) broccoli
  • 1 clove of garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp AJI-NO-MOTO® (MSG)
  • 2 tbsps olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Pasta for two


  1. Boil water in a pot, add AJI-NO-MOTO® (MSG) and broccoli divided into small bunches, and boil until tender (about 10-15 minutes). Do not discard the boiled water.

  2. Put the olive oil and garlic in a frying pan, fry over low heat. When the aroma starts to come out, put in the broccoli from (1), season with salt, pepper and  a pinch of AJI-NO-MOTO® (MSG) while crushing the broccoli.

  3. Boil the pasta in the pot from (1) one minute earlier than the cooking time, put in the frying pan from (2) and sauté with the broccoli.
