Umami-rich Lamb Curry

This is the easiest and the best lamb curry we ever have. Turn up the spice and enjoy this flavorful, spiceful and umami-rich curry recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450g) lamb shoulder
  • 2 onions
  • 3 tbsps ginger and garlic paste
  • 2 ounces (50g) tomato puree
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1/4 tbsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsps curry powder
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin seed
  • 1 tbsp turmeric
  • 2 ounces (50g) coriander
  • 5 potatoes
  • 150ml coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 120ml vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsps AJI-NO-MOTO® (MSG)
  • Coriander for garnish

Directions

  1. Fry onion, ginger and garlic paste with cooking oil.

  2. Add in cumin seed, tomato, tomato puree and lamb shoulder.

  3. Add in curry powder, chili powder, turmeric and garam masala.

  4. Pour in coconut milk.

  5. Season with salt and AJI-NO-MOTO®.

  6. Add in potato and coriander

  7. Simmer in low heat for 40 minutes.

  8. Garnish with coriander.
